My name is Chef Courtney Smith. I am from Greensboro, NC. I specialize in Southern Cuisine such as mac and cheese, corn bread, collard green, etc.but I do like to step out of the country and my comfort zone. Just a little about me. I have been cooking for about 4 years now in my business Called DownSouth Southern Cuisine and more. My dream of cooking started when I was a little girl helping my grandmother in the kitchen. When I became of age I decided that cooking is what I wanted to do and started my first in home business BossCee’s Kitchen.I started the business because I loved everything about it. I loved how it made people feel when they ate, and how it made me feel to cook for people and over all giving back to my community.
Stuck in a dead end job I thought I should get more experience and training so I headed to culinary school at the Illustrious Auguste Escoffier where my culinary life has reached new heights. I am still learning every day and never plan to stop when it comes to cooking! I am excited for where my life is heading and the path I’m taking for my culinary dreams. Even though I haven’t done many things professionally. I have professional experience through my business selling items by the trays and also plates for family functions or other events.
